Position Summary
We are seeking a Director of RF Design to lead our staff of engineers through a complex design and build process. The location for this key position will be the northeast metropolitan area and it will report to the Vice President of Engineering, who is located in San Jose California. This position requires an individual with high energy and a keen sense of self motivation along with a willingness to tackle challenging issues in RF design.
Working with both internal and external RF engineering contributors, you will manage the design activity and define the design processes and tools, including RF propagation analysis and model tuning. Your responsibilities will also include overseeing site surveys; drive testing, data processing and network commissioning. This will require an exceptional grasp of RF fundamentals, work-arounds, RF tools, and a background of building and managing high performance RF design teams.
Within this role, you will discuss projects, address technical issues, and work to understand customer needs.
Qualifications
- B.S. in Electrical or Electronics Engineering, Physics or equivalent discipline, OR an A.A in Electronics with extensive Field Testing mandatory.
- 5+ years of engineering management experience leading RF design teams required.
- Selected candidates must have wireless operator and fiber optic experience.
- Customer orientation and focus is critical to the success of this position. You must be able to demonstrate exceptional written and verbal English communication skills, to meet with customers and vendors as needed, and work to solve issues that are presented to NextG Networks.
