Management Team

Steven J. Moskowitz, CEO
Steven Moskowitz joined American Tower, a leading owner and operator of communications sites for the wireless and broadcast industries, in 1998. He was named executive vice president of sales and marketing in 1999 and appointed president of the U.S. Division in 2002. During his 11 year tenure at American Tower, he was integral to the company's ability to grow its assets, helping expand its U.S. footprint from approximately 500 towers in 1998 to more than 20,000 towers in 2009.

Prior to American Tower, Steven Moskowitz served in various executive roles at The Katz Media Group. He started his career with MCI Communications. He holds a degree in marketing, media and broadcast management from Temple University.

David Cutrer, Ph.D, CTO and Co-founder
David M. Cutrer has previously served as chief technology officer and member of the board of directors since co-founding NextG in April 2001. Before co-founding NextG, Dr. Cutrer co-founded LGC Wireless, a provider of in-building wireless coverage systems, which was subsequently acquired by ADC Telecommunications. From June 1996 to February 2001, Dr. Cutrer served LGC in several senior-level executive roles, including chief technology officer and vice president of engineering. Dr. Cutrer is a recognized expert on microcellular communications systems and holds multiple patents in the field. Dr. Cutrer received his Ph.D. and his M.S. in electrical engineering from the University of California at Berkeley, and he received his B.S. in electrical engineering and applied physics from the California Institute of Technology.

Robert L. Delsman, Esq, Senior VP, General Counsel
Robert L. Delsman has previously served as vice president of government relations and regulatory affairs since December 2003. He joined NextG as a senior director in February 2002. From June 1996 to February 2001, Mr. Delsman was senior director of government relations and network real estate for Metricom, Inc. Before that, Mr. Delsman practiced real estate law at Lillick & Charles from 1989 to 1995 and at Crosby, Heafey, Roach & May from 1995 to 1996. Mr. Delsman received his B.A. in classics and philosophy from Gonzaga University, his M.A. Oxon. in Literae Humaniores from Oxford University, and his J.D. from Hastings College of the Law (University of California).

Lawrence Doherty, Senior VP, Sales and Business Development, Western Region
Lawrence R. Doherty has served as senior vice president of sales and business development since February 2008. From February 2006 to February 2008, Mr. Doherty served as vice president of corporate development. Before joining us, Mr. Doherty served as director of national property and director of national site development for Sprint PCS from November 1999 to October 2005.

Michael Frausing, Senior VP, Business Development, Eastern Region
Mike Frausing has over 25 years of industry experience successfully driving revenue growth and strategic account acquisition with leading wireless and telecommunications service providers worldwide. He spent six years with LGC Wireless as EVP, Chief Sales & Marketing Officer, where he grew revenues from $12M to over $100M. This remarkable growth led to an acquisition of LGC Wireless by ADC Telecom. Prior to LGC Wireless, Mr. Frausing spent over 15 years with Ericsson in various senior sales leadership positions focused on wireless infrastructure sales and business development. The product portfolios he sold to carriers worldwide ranged from Land Mobile Radio, to CDMA and 3G technologies. Mr. Frausing completed the management program at Swedish Institute of Management.

Michael Hughes, VP Engineering
Mike Hughes has over 20 years experience in the wireless industry and joined NextG Networks as the Vice President of Engineering in August 2009. Prior to joining NextG he had been with Sprint since 1995 and served the majority of his tenure as their Director of Engineering/Northeast Region where he facilitated the design and launch of Sprint’s initial networks to their mature operation of over 15,000 cell sites. Mr. Hughes also held positions as a Director within Sprint’s Planning and Logistics organization and the Office of Network Transformation Strategies. Prior to Sprint, Mr. Hughes worked for several years as an engineer at Bell Atlantic Mobile developing and trialing digital cellular technologies and researching radio wave propagation within their Wireless Technology Laboratory. Mr. Hughes earned a B.S. degree in electrical engineering from Rutgers College of Engineering.

Bo Piekarski, VP, Product Management and Marketing
Bo Piekarski serves as vice president of product management and marketing for NextG Networks. He is a 25+ year veteran of the wireless industry having worked in RF, microwave, PCS, GSM, GPRS, EDGE, W-CDMA, WiMAX and Software Defined Radio (SDR) since 1983. Mr. Piekarski brings significant experience to NextG from companies across the WWAN value chain—including Ericsson, Omnipoint, Voicestream/T-Mobile, Xircom, and Intel. Throughout his career in advanced wireless technologies, Mr. Piekarski has managed projects and business units across technical, business, and marketing functions. Prior to serving as VP of business development for TelAsic, an IC spinout from Raytheon, he was general manager of Intel's wireless WAN operation, VP of strategic business for Omnipoint, and held a variety of executive business development and marketing positions at Ericsson's wireless communications division including VP of business development, VP of the GSM business unit, and VP of the PCS unit. Mr. Piekarski holds B.S. and M.S. degrees from The University of Michigan.

Patrick S. Ryan, VP Government Relations & Regulatory Affairs
Patrick S. Ryan previously served as outside counsel from 2004 until 2009, when he joined NextG as an employee. From 1994 through 2002, Mr. Ryan held numerous leadership roles in telecommunications companies, including Managing Director of the European subsidiary of Tetra Tech Communications, Director of Operations for international projects and Director of Network Implementation and Compliance for Broadnet (a subsidiary of Comcast). His academic appointments include Chair of the Interdisciplinary Telecommunications Program at the University of Colorado at Boulder (2004-2008) and researcher and lecturer at the Katholieke Universiteit Leuven (Belgium) (2002-2004). Mr. Ryan received his JD from the University of Texas at Austin and a PhD from the Katholieke Universiteit Leuven.

Todd Schultz, Senior VP, Implementation
Todd K. Schultz has served as senior vice president of operations since February 2008. From October 2006 to February 2008, Mr. Schultz served as vice president of operations. From 2001 to October 2006, Mr. Schultz provided professional consulting services to NextG and to various other technology-based clients. From 1998 to 2001, Mr. Schultz held senior level positions with Navisite, a data center and hosting infrastructure company. Mr. Schultz received his B.S. in mechanical engineering from California State University at Chico.

John B. Georges, PhD, Co-founder and Senior Advisor
John B. Georges, Ph.D, served as co-founder, president, chief executive officer, and chairman of NextG Networks from 2001 until September 2009, when he sold NextG providing excellent shareholder returns in a challenging market environment. During his tenure, NextG met its revenue and financial objectives for 28 straight quarters, and established NextG as the undisputed leader in public right-of-way distributed antenna sites for the wireless industry. NextG received many awards including Business Journal 50 fastest growing private companies in 2007, Best of San Jose in 2009, Deloitte & Touche Technology Fast 50 award, Deloitte & Touche Technology Fast 500 North America, and Frost & Sullivan Engineering System of the Year award in 2004. John was also recently nominated for the Ernst and Young Entrepreneur of the Year award for 2009. Before co-founding NextG, John co-founded LGC Wireless, the leading provider of in-building wireless distributed antenna systems, which was subsequently acquired by ADC Telecommunications (NASDAQ-ADCT). From June 1996 to February 2001, John served LGC Wireless in senior-level executive positions in business development, sales, and engineering. He established worldwide channel relationships in over 20 countries making LGC the worldwide leader in its market. John received his Ph.D. in electrical engineering from the University of California at Berkeley in 1994 and lives in San Jose, CA with his wife Lymarose, their two cats, and their dog. John and Lymarose will be adopting their first child this year. They are also involved in various philanthropic efforts such as feeding the homeless, opening their home for months at a time to young adults that want to further their education, and contributing through their church to various causes around the world.

Tom Dyal, Redpoint Ventures
Prior to co-founding Redpoint in 1999, Tom was a general partner with IVP, a firm he joined in 1997. He invests in a wide range of technology areas, including infrastructure systems, software and services. Tom is past President and a current director of the Western Association of Venture Capitalists (WAVC). Prior to joining the venture business, Tom spent ten years in operating roles in the communications and networking industry. At Bay Networks, he ran product management for its network management software business. Tom began his career as a systems engineer with AT&T Bell Laboratories. He holds a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology and a M.S. in Electrical Engineering from Stanford University.

Arthur Patterson, Accel
Arthur is lead investor and helped management teams develop their companies into market defining leaders. IPO's of such companies include: Actuate, (Reporting); MetroPCS, (Cellular Carrier); Portal Software, (Internet Billing); UUnet/MCI-WorldCom, (ISP); and Veritas, (Storage). He has also been a Director/Investor in many other information technology Companies which became public companies. Prior to co-founding Accel Partners, Arthur was General Partner of Adler & Company. He started in venture capital at Citicorp Venture Capital. At Citicorp, he also managed a fund of publicly traded equities and was on the Equity Committee of Citicorp's Investment Management Group. Previously, Arthur worked in Washington for the International office of the U.S. Treasury Department - International Monetary, Trade and Development Policy. Arthur served as the President of the Western Association of Venture Capitalists and a Director of the National Venture Capital Association. He received an AB and an MBA from Harvard.

Prior to co-founding MDP, Mr. Perry was with First Chicago Venture Capital for eight years. Previously, he was with The First National Bank of Chicago.
