NextG Expands Major DAS Networks in Southern California

-Latest deployments provide significant wireless performance boost for Los Angeles area -

SAN JOSE, CA - NextG Networks, Inc., the leading provider of distributed-antenna-system (DAS) networks, has launched major DAS networks in Los Angeles and the surrounding metro area. Currently, NextG's Los Angeles-area DAS networks comprise several hundred nodes and extend from Los Angeles north to Malibu and south to Long Beach. These NextG DAS networks significantly boost wireless performance for operators and the customers they serve within this large area, including densely populated areas in and around Los Angeles.

NextG's Los Angeles multi-operator network includes a combination of newly-built DAS nodes, as well as upgrades to pre-existing node sites, to accommodate new data-rich technology and service offerings. NextG has the largest DAS-network presence in Southern California, stretching from San Diego to Los Angeles.

"As demonstrated by this latest deployment, the operator community is continuing to embrace DAS," said John Georges, NextG's CEO. "Our deployments continue to expand across the United States. We believe that DAS has clearly entered the mainstream as a 'first choice' infrastructure solution."

NextG Networks® DAS solutions provide performance improvements, including increased voice quality, greater call traffic handling, fewer dropped calls, better mobile coverage, faster file transfers, and enhanced video quality. The networks use strategically placed low-power, fiber-optic-fed nodes that blend with their surroundings.
