Once a college or university has decided to improve the coverage, capacity, and performance of the wireless services provided on its campus, NextG Networks can design, permit, build, operate and manage the most advanced wireless system available. NextG's superior systems tie together existing available fiber with small DAS sites deployed discretely on utility and light poles around a campus.

In the network diagram below, multiple wireless carriers and many wireless services are transported along the same fiber using NextG's patented multiplexing technology. This allows the campus to build out its cellular and PCS services, and more advanced broadband offerings via 3G, WiMAX and LTE. It also enables wireless carriers to provide coverage to the student body and faculty safely and inconspicuously.

Benefits to the campus

The NextG network is owned, managed, monitored and maintained by NextG Networks. Once the NextG network is live, NextG negotiates to make the network available to wireless carriers who want to offer coverage on your campus. In many cases, a portion of the revenues flow back to the school. The NextG network leaves campus officials free to concentrate on their core businesses while generating revenue from the network.
